Carlos Calvo is a Los Angeles–based musician, guitarist, composer, and educator acclaimed for his Alternative Folk/Pop sound and exceptional guitar virtuosity. Blending influences from classical and flamenco guitar with modern and classic rock, Calvo creates a uniquely expressive style rooted in both technical mastery and heartfelt songwriting.

As a touring solo artist and bandleader, he has shared stages with acts including The Bacon Brothers and Colin Hay and has performed extensively throughout Europe. His music has been featured in major motion pictures, and his guitar work can be heard on the scores of popular shows such as King of the Hill and Black Lightning.

A sought-after guitar coach, Calvo has trained numerous performers—including Adam Levine of Maroon 5—and has prepared actors to authentically portray musicians for television and film, with notable work on Californication and Get On Up.

He currently performs with the Carlos Calvo Acoustic Trio and co-creates “Tasting Notes,” an immersive music-and-whiskey experience with collaborator ET Tecosky.
